Phil Porter is a principal at Heritage Capital Group, where he specializes in advising automotive dealership owners on comprehensive exit strategies, as well as facilitating and evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions.
As a seasoned automotive executive who has managed all facets of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, finance, and accounting, Phil is known for building high-performing teams and driving operational excellence. Phil led a team of more than 100 employees at Subaru of Jacksonville, one of the nation’s most recognized Subaru retailers.
Under his leadership, the organization achieved record-setting performance across sales and service while earning multiple industry accolades, including the prestigious Subaru of America Retailer of the Year award. Phil also built his reputation as an industry leader through his service on the Jacksonville Automobile Dealers Association board. He is a 2019 graduate of the National Automobile Dealers Association Academy.
Phil has been individually recognized for his leadership and industry contributions including 40 Under 40 by Automotive News, and a two-time recipient in Subaru of America’s “Heart In Hand” Award.
