Heritage Capital Group honors the life and legacy of our colleague Chad Potter, who served as a Principal with the firm from May 2024 until his passing in September 2026.
Chad focused on advising clients in the metals, distribution and logistics sectors on merger and acquisition transactions. Throughout his career, he was known for his strategic insight, financial expertise and commitment to helping business owners navigate complex decisions.
Before joining Heritage, Chad held senior leadership positions with several prominent companies, including NCR Corporation, Nucor, a Nucor-JFE Steel joint venture in Mexico, American Consolidated Industries and Westwater Resources. Over the course of his career, he led numerous complex transactions, advised clients on financial restructuring initiatives and contributed to the development of innovative investment strategies.
Chad earned a Bachelor of Business Science in accounting and finance from Wright State University and an MBA with an emphasis in operations management from Morehead State University.
More importantly, Chad will be remembered by colleagues, clients and friends for his enthusiasm, positive spirit, integrity and genuine kindness. He made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. His contributions to Heritage Capital Group and the industries he served will not be forgotten.
Our thoughts remain with Chad’s wife, Nancy, and his family. We are grateful for the time we shared with Chad and are proud to honor his memory and legacy.
