Prior to Coesia, Matthew held senior roles at Western & Southern Financial Group and Fort Washington Investment Advisors, where he helped drive strategic acquisitions and venture investments totaling billions in assets under management.
Matthew earned his MBA from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, where he served as class vice president and led his team to victory in the SEC MBA Case Competition. He also holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he was a captain of the football team and earned all-conference honors. He is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and serves on the University of Georgia Terry School of Business MBA Advisory Board.
“We are excited to welcome Matthew to our Savannah team,” said Bill Sorenson, CEO of Heritage. “His deep expertise in sourcing, structuring, and executing strategic acquisitions, combined with his operational and financial background, strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for business owners. Matthew’s collaborative approach and market insight align with Heritage’s values and our commitment to long-term client success.”
“I’m honored to join Heritage Capital Group and be part of the firm’s expansion in Savannah,” said Matthew. “Throughout my career, I’ve worked with business owners and leadership teams to develop strategies, identify growth opportunities, and execute transformative transactions. I look forward to bringing that perspective to Heritage’s clients and contributing to the firm’s legacy of trusted advisory service.”
