Heritage Capital Group is pleased to announce a successful debt restructuring and capital raise for KCI Aviation of Bridgeport, West Virginia. KCI is a maintenance and repair organization serving corporate jet and turboprop aircraft for large fleet customers and private aircraft owners. In addition to their corporate headquarters in West Virginia, KCI has hangar facilities in Jacksonville, Florida and Ponca City Oklahoma – allowing them to service customers anywhere in the eastern United States. They have been a family-owned business, and a fixture in the aviation industry, for over years.
Charles Koukoulis, President of KCI commented, “Our expansion to Jacksonville last year marked a major step forward for our company, as we evolve from a well-known regional player into a national brand. That expansion brought challenges and required resources beyond what were available in our local market. Heritage Capital brought not only knowledge and nationwide contacts in the capital markets, but senior-level operating expertise to supplement our team. They’ve worked with us over the past year to upgrade our internal financial processes and prepare us for the scrutiny of sophisticated institutional capital. They did an exhaustive search of the markets for us, and managed a complex debt restructuring that we could not have accomplished on our own. This transaction will allow us to grow much faster, across three regions, and let us better respond to the growing demand from our customers.”
Matt Laffey, a principal with Heritage Capital Group said, “Chuck has a well-regarded operation in West Virginia, and has had the foresight to develop an expanding footprint across the country. While his team has the operational expertise to execute the plan, their financial resources have to also synchronize with those operations. We’ve been honored to help this family business start the next chapter in their proud history.”
Heritage Capital Group, an investment banking firm headquartered in Jacksonville, provided strategic advisory and management services, which included capital sourcing, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
