Heritage Capital Group is pleased to announce they represented Oaklawn Cemetery Association in its sale to Service Corporation International (SCI). Oaklawn Cemetery Association (Oaklawn) has been recognized as a premier, family owned and operated establishment since its first burial in 1927. (SCI) owns and operates a national network of funeral homes and cemeteries under the Dignity Memorial™brand.
Oaklawn is one of the oldest and most well maintained cemeteries in Northeast Florida. The 80 acre park is close to completing construction of a new 9,000-squarefoot funeral home facility, which will allow expanded services and added conveniences to Oaklawn families. The services that have always been offered at Oaklawn will continue to be available, but will now be enhanced with the product and service options offered by Dignity Memorial providers.
“The Taylor family has proudly served the Jacksonville community for generations,” said Ginny Taylor, president of Oaklawn, who plans to continue serving Oaklawn families with SCI. “As part of the Dignity Memorial™network, our service professionals, who have been meeting the needs of our families for many years, will continue to do so with new benefits available through this national network.”
“We have known the Taylor family for years, and were privileged to have the opportunity to assist them in this transaction.“ said K.C. Caldabaugh, principal at Heritage Capital Group.
Dignity Memorial is a network of more than 1,800 funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. Dignity Memorial providers offer an unmatched combination of products and locations serving families with care, integrity, respect and service excellence.
